Your Role

As an operations technician, you contribute to ensuring the operational reliability of Kungsängsverket and our other facilities. You work with both planned and corrective maintenance and play an important role in keeping our processes running efficiently and safely. The work is varied and involves taking responsibility for your own tasks as well as collaborating with colleagues on larger projects. You will largely plan your workdays independently, but larger tasks are planned in consultation with the team leader.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at Kungsängsverket and our external facilities
• Work according to planned interventions and reported faults
• Work proactively to avoid operational disturbances
• Contribute to the optimization and improvement of the facility for the future
• Small facility operations

On-call duty may be included in the position and operates on a six-week schedule where you will patrol and analyze our facilities.

We Are Looking For You

We are looking for someone with a high school education and experience in maintenance and mechanical work, preferably within the water and wastewater industry or a similar industry. You have a strong interest and commitment to the water sector and want to contribute to safe and efficient operations.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, responsible, and unpretentious, with the ability to step in where needed. You enjoy taking responsibility, are driven by problem-solving, and can analyze operational data. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team. We prefer that you prioritize safety, work goal-oriented, and follow applicable laws and safety regulations.

Requirements for the position include proficiency in Swedish, good computer skills, and a B driver's license.

Mälarenergi Vatten AB is a subsidiary of the Mälarenergi Group responsible for the production and distribution of drinking water and wastewater management in the municipalities of Västerås, Hallstahammar, and Surahammar. We perform operations, planning, and development of facilities and networks, exploitation, and project implementations in the three municipalities.

You will belong to the wastewater treatment unit and be part of the operations team based at Kungsängsverket in Västerås, which is the largest facility but also collaborates extensively with other parts of the organization.

The main task of the operations team is to plan and perform mechanical maintenance on the facilities and ensure operational reliability.
